32 Stats Facts that Prove Infographics Arent Dead

From Facebook posts by old friends asking you to try products that "really work," to those email subscriptions you're sure you never signed up for, people are constantly bombarding you with information from all platforms. Everyone wants your attention, and it's up to you to determine what makes the cut. Our eyes can only process so much—and our brains can interpret even less. Related: How visual stimulation improves client retention This fact is well-known to marketers, who constantly work to create new and exciting content to be consumed by target audiences. The job of marketers is growing increasingly more difficult as the days of simply creating interesting, insightful, witty, easily understood yet informative content are over. On top of everything their positions entailed before the age of social media and email campaigns, marketers now have the additional task of differentiating themselves from everyone else who is trying to do the exact same thing. So, how is it done? How can one business's content stand apart from the overabundance of black-and-white text being hurled at consumers across the globe? The answer lies in visual content—like infographics. We've compiled a list of 32 stats and facts that demonstrate the importance of visuals in your marketing messages. These stats can help you disseminate content that is read instead of skipped. How do we process information? 90% of information sent to the brain is visual. (MIT) 65% of people are visual learners. (Pearson) When people hear information, they're likely to remember only 10% of that information three days later. However, if a relevant image is paired with that same information, people retained 65% of the information three days later. (Brain Rules) 99% of all sensory information is filtered out by the brain almost immediately. This means that only 1% of information actually gets through to the brain. Infographics are in this 1%. (QUE Publishing) Visuals with color increase people's willingness to read a piece of content by 80%. (Saurage Research) People following directions with text and illustrations do 323% better than those following directions without illustrations. (Springer) Eye-tracking studies show internet readers pay close attention to information-carrying images. In fact, when the images are relevant, readers spend more time looking at the images than they do reading text on the page. (NN Group) 81% of people only skim the content they read online. The average user reads 20-28% of words during an average visit. (NN Group) Why should you use infographics? Infographics can increase web traffic by 12%. Social Justice Towards Students With Disabilities - Free Essay Example

Sample details Pages: 5 Words: 1533 Downloads: 3 Date added: 2019/04/08 Category Society Essay Level High school Tags: Social Justice Essay Did you like this example? Today there are laws that guarantee the rights of people with disabilities and to help them not to be discriminated against, to receive the necessary accommodations at work and school, to receive specialized services to meet their educational needs and to receive a free and appropriate public education, unfortunately, none of these two require inclusion. Multiple investigations have shown that the inclusion of exceptional students in classrooms with students of the regular current is beneficial for all when the support systems and necessary resources are provided, high expectations are held, parents and the school community are involved, professional preparation for the staff, and the development and use of technology is supported.. Don’t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Social Justice Towards Students With Disabilities" essay for you Create order Much has been said recently about the Special Education Program and how it has failed to provide services to students with disabilities. Everyone believes they have the solution, but what many propose is not in accordance with what has been shown to benefit these students. It is known that some people believe that the problem with children with special needs is solved by removing them from schools and placing them in special schools, segregated from others, despite the countless number of mothers who have to fight to enforce the rights of their children. children, including, the right to be an integral part of society and the school community. We also hear in the media people who brand the special education program as a problem. It is obvious that the root of the problem is not children with disabilities or mothers who defend their rights. Part of the problem is that, after so many years of implementing the special education program in the Department of Education, we still have a lon g way to go, many barriers to overcome, mainly attitudinal barriers. We know what it takes for these students to optimize their quality of life and maximize their potential. So what is the problem? Who is responsible? Why are people still talking about segregating exceptional students or students with disabilities? The answer varies according to the group to whom it is asked. Some say that the problem is the Department of Education, which is very politicized, that there is a lot of bureaucracy, that money is not used properly, that work is not done as it is. Others point out that the demand for services exceeds the capacity of the Special Education Program, that there is a cut in funds, that the corporations that serve the program do not do their job well, that there are children who are misdiagnosed. Some say that teachers are not committed, that they have become tired and others respond that teachers do not have the necessary resources to do their job well. Everyone must assume their responsibility. Teachers and specialists must work in favor of inclusion, but at the same time they must be provided with the necessary tools to be able to serve these children effectively. The services must be offered promptly and efficiently. The control of the use of the funds must be continuous and agile. Universities must train highly qualified teachers who can serve diverse students. There will be teachers who do their work without commitment and parents who do not assume their responsibility. But there are also many parents, mothers, teachers, specialists and public servants who are committed to making a difference. We need to strive to work for those who are entrusted to serve. You have to give them the opportunity to be who they can be by providing them with a quality education. The right to education has to do more than having the right to learn, to assist the development of each individual, therefore the only way to comply with this is that the educational system is oriented to operate on the basis of diversity. And that implies that the entire educational strategy is diversified according to the multiplicity of students and rhythms in cognitive development, learning speed, etc. This is very difficult since the educational system still works with a sense of homogenization especially in terms of educational strategy so it is a very difficult challenge to pass on to heterogeneity. The barriers begin with the architectonic, for example, to include people with disabilities, there are many cultural barriers in these world of prejudice and stereotypes that threaten equality opportunities that just consider diversity. There are also pedagogical barriers, which is something super important with respect to educational actors and the school itself. I believe the school is largely not ready to work on inclusion issues and especially the training and professional development of teachers who are not prepared for the challenges that inclusion implies. Putting this in motion implies a tremendous change in the formation given by the universities to the professors, implies a change in school so that it undergoes a strong reorganization. I would say that we are only prepared in few aspects of life, but to be honest, we are never well prepared for anything because we think everything is perfect and nothing will happen, until it happens. The most important thing here is to clearly see the degree of preparation that needs to be improved, until it allow us to reach an inclusive education system based on an inclusive culture. The cultural changes are long-term, so the preparation for this will never be enough but we have to start somewhere, now. At the moment, there is no ideal proposal for an effective inclusion plan, in fact, there is a strong tendency in the system to simply think of inclusion as obtaining non-discrimination laws, which does not cover everything. Inclusion doesnt mean non-discrimination, that is just a part of it. It is a much greater problem that implies a cultural problem, which is that inclusion is not linked exclusively to differential education. One of the problems to overcome is to stop linking i nclusion with differential education, it obviously includes the problem of disability but inclusion has to do with the problem of diversity and not with disability. When you are a parents and your children are doing well in school, it is almost inevitable to think that those who do not go so well have a problem. But there is a tendency to believe that the problem is only of those children and their families, and it is rarely considered a social problem, or a problem that affects everyone as an educational community. And sometimes even you can get to value positively that these children are separated from the path of the best, so they do not put a brake on their competitive academic results. These children deserve the same opportunities as others, but to really have them, they must be cared for correctly. We should accept them as they are and believe in them, in their inclusion in society. The solution to all this great set of special cases is inclusive education. Inclusive education is defined as a process aimed at responding to the diversity of students. And it is related to the presence, participation, and achievements of all students. It mean s offering a common education for all students who recognize, value, and adjust to the characteristics of each of them, trying to avoid a segregated school. That being said, it sounds like utopia. Students in need of support in an inclusive school would not have to leave the classroom to be cared for, or might do so at the least possible times, since the methodologies used are such that they favor the learning of all students, whether or not they have educational needs. For me the benefit of inclusion is clear, because diversity enriches people, it makes us more tolerant, more understanding, more open. Living in an active way with children with different characteristics is an experience that is not learned in a textbook or a digital board. Being aware of others difficulties, and trying to make others understand and accept each others differences, makes children more tolerant, more open, collaborative and empathetic. I think it is a much more humane education, perhaps children forget history or science ones, but learning derived from a normal coexistence with other children with different needs, surely lasts throughout their lives. The main challenge would be to transform the school as a space where equality becomes a practice focused on balanced attention, identical to the specific needs of each student. The pedagogical practice must achieve this differentiated attention, understanding that being different belongs to human nature. This includes not only the students but also the teachers and all the educational agents; to all those who in one way or another are involved in the teaching-learning process and are taking on the challenge of an inclusive education, like myself. For this reason, it is necessary to train those schools that do not implement adequate inclusion, because they harm both the person who is included as well as the children of the regular school group they host. Which is why I will be working closely with every teacher and staff around me, fighting for the inclusion of all these students. I will encourage equality of opportunities, provide personalized education, encouraging participation, solidarity and cooperation among students, to improve the quality of education and the effectiveness of the education system.

When i grow up free essay sample

I believe I remember when I was just a little girl, about the age of twelve, when I went to the Bedford Stadium and hundreds of people were scattered in the stands and at half time the announcer started to announce a bunch of girls names. I looked down to see a bunch of girls in long dresses march down the field with what seemed to be prince charming on their arms. After a while they all were down the field and the stadium would get quiet, and then the announcer would scream out a name and everyone would start cheering and the girl would start to cry, get flowers, and her picture taken. I looked at my mom and asked what was going on, she said she was just crowned homecoming queen. I remember saying back â€Å"I want to be homecoming queen!† As the years went by I always noticed the one game where the homecoming queen would be crowned but the idea slipped in the back of my mind, I couldn’t do that. We will write a custom essay sample on When i grow up or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page I was just one little girl with a big dream. Once I got into middle school I started to be more social with a lot of different people, Being a people person helped me a lot, making people smile and happy put a smile on my face and I knew if homecoming queen was in my future I would have to start being nice to everyone. Seeing people start to notice me made me glad that I set this goal for myself because I noticed I was changing peoples attitudes with my happiness. I am now a sophomore in high school and my life has changed tremendously, I got dumped by a guy I was dating for three years, people I thought would never leave my side did, and I met my best friend of three years. I was an average teenage girl trying to find my place in high school. I wasn’t the strongest until one night I got a text from a girl saying â€Å"I need help† This was a girl who I went to elementary school with but never really knew or talked to so I was surprised and didn’t know what to say. I replied with â€Å"is everything okay?† The girl then went into this story about how her ex-boyfriend is going to Bedford’s homecoming with another girl and she doesn’t want to go now, and she returned her dress and needed someone to talk to. I was so surprised she came to me since we never talked before. I told her that it was her homecoming not his and this is a once a year  opportunity and she would regret it if she didn’t go. I told her I would hangout with her, and her friends are more important then a boy, and that was the last I spoke to her. I forgot about the whole situation for awhile until homecoming came around and I started pondering if she ever decided she was going to go. It was the night of the dance and I was pacing around looking for someone I knew and in the corner of my eye I saw her. She was dancing with her friends and having a great time so I went up and tapped her on the shoulder and gave her a hug. She looked stunning and her smile was as bright as the night stars. I walked away and she went back to dancing and smiling the night away. I was delighted for her. The next morning I got a text saying, â€Å"Thank you so much Emma for convincing me to go because if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have gone, and I had a blast and feel stupid for saying I wasn’t going to go.† My face lit up like a light bulb and I couldn’t stop smiling. To know I made a huge impact on her life at the moment. After that I knew being positive about being nice to people, and making an effort to people I didn’t talk to really paid off. Her and I began to be better friends and she always texts me with all her problems because she knows I will always be there for her. I am now nearing the end of my sophomore year in high school and I would say I am a changed person. Winning homecoming queen senior year would be nice, but it would never compare to the happiness I get when I’m helping someone who feels like they can turn to me. Happiness in high school isn’t about how many friends you have and how popular you are, but the amount of people’s lives you touch by your good heart and personality. I believe that walking around with a smile on your face and being true to yourself is more rewarding than a crown ever could be. When I Grow Up free essay sample So, this is it. I am sitting at my computer with my fingers typing as feverously as if I was writing the next big speech of historical importance on par with the likes of the Gettysburg Address. Yet, I am not doing that. Instead, I am frantically searching the filing cabinet in my brain for experiences that have bettered me as a person and influenced my decision to apply to a prestigious four-year institution. In my short seventeen years of life I have seen and experienced things that most people twice my age have not. I have been in the deepest pits of hell and back again. Yet, I will not go so far as to claim that I deserve either pity or empathy, because that is simply not who I am. So, instead of giving you all of my saddest, most horrifying experiences in incredibly graphic detail, I am going to focus on my future. We will write a custom essay sample on When I Grow Up or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page After all, my future is the exact reason for this essay in the first place. When I was little, my â€Å"I want to be when I grow up† dreams ranged from a Disney princess to a rock star. Just like every other power hungry eight year old, I wanted to be the president of the United States at one point as well. My painful â€Å"dancer† dream period came shortly after that. During my first ballet class at the local recreation center, I found out that I have about as much grace and dancing ability as a dying duck mashed together with an electric eel. Then, in junior high school, I desperately wanted to be the C.E.O of Disney. However, when I found out the amount of math involved, I stepped off of that cloud rather quickly. So, what exactly was the point of this trip down memory lane, especially when this essay is about the future? Well, just like my childhood dreams, my future is going to have to be very flexible and adept to change. What I want now, more than anything else, is to be able to study political science. As a person who loves learning and fears becoming bored, politics is perfect because while it is many things, boring is not one of them. After I graduate, I hope to go to law school. I know that my life’s current trajectory will not come about without effort, but I know that I am capable. After becoming a lawyer, well, I haven’t quite gotten that far yet. I plan on learning more about the person I want to be in college, and I hope that her and I become really close friends. For now, though, I must be content with the person I have become during the last seventeen years: a person who is argumentative, bitingly sarcastic, and more than slightly nerdy; a person who would really appreciate the chance to prove herself a person that belongs at your institution. (Then I can focus on tackling that Presidency).

Writing Essays on Shakespeare and Henry V

Writing Essays on Shakespeare and Henry VThere are various ways to use Henry V essay topics to help you with your classes. Here are some tips.First, make sure you understand the theme of the essay. You will need to be sure that the topic is one that you are comfortable with so that you can write it without much stress. But remember, Henry V is a popular figure and he is not necessarily of the same era or of the same opinion as today's students. The use of current topics will not do him justice.Second, remember that the content of the essay does not have to be identical to that of the historical lesson. The purpose of this article is to teach you how to structure a thesis statement so that you are prepared to present an argument in your essay. Use the same lessons from your other courses to create your essay. You should not change the materials used in your writing but simply adapt them to fit in Henry V.Third, research the essay as best you can. Read your own class text, look for res ources online and read scholarly essays to make sure you know what is going on. Then, look at other student essays to see what they are doing to craft their essays. It is OK to use your own ideas as long as they are not blatantly plagiarized.Fourth, don't put too much emphasis on the literary features of the text itself. The historical text is meant to provide information. Students are trying to learn. Put yourself in the students' shoes and ask yourself if the students will still be reading your essay if it were rewritten to be more academic.Fifth, use the most appropriate essay topics for your circumstances. If you are a history major who needs to be very clear and concise in order to get your point across in your class, choose something historical. If you are an English major, choose something literary. Use what fits the situation and does not require any major changes to the text itself. History and literature are easy subjects to use.Sixth, create your essay topics according to the text itself. Make sure you know the type of material you will be discussing in your essay. Use the relevant parts of the essay as the basis for the essay topic. Finally, don't feel forced to use Henry V essay topics. If you do not feel comfortable with them, choose another topic that is similar in nature.
